Problem
The company has subcontracted electrical installations for builders, developers and municipalities since 2011. Its original website from 2015 (also mine) no longer matched what the company does today and did not bring in enquiries.
Solution
The new site speaks to B2B customers: industrial halls, public lighting, lightning protection, references and a clear path to an enquiry. Content lives in code and is versioned, with no CMS and no database.
The client’s hosting has no Node.js, so the site is a static Next.js export. The enquiry form is served by a small PHP twin of the API, routed by .htaccess, with the same validation rules as the development build. Without a complete SMTP configuration the form sends nothing (fail-closed).
GitLab CI deploys the DEV branch to a test subdomain and the PROD branch to production after a manual confirmation.
Outcome
A fast website with no server application to maintain, running on the company’s existing hosting and collecting enquiries.
